Reset Your Child’s Starting Line
To Help Them Reach the Finish Line
When your child struggles, you struggle with them. We’ve been there. Conditions like ADHD, anxiety, or Oppositional Defiant Disorder can make home life and school a challenge for your little one. Without a clear-cut avenue for care, it can be difficult to make the best choices for your family.
ZüpMed uses a holistic approach to pediatric behavioral health. By treating the root causes of these conditions before prescribing medicine, you can rest assured that you’ve made the right choice for your child’s growth.
Integrative Behavioral Health & Your Child
This generation lives in a very different world than the one we grew up in. Everything from processed diets to excess screen time and social isolation can disregulate your child’s natural biology causing emotional, mental, and behavioral health conditions.
By taking all of these environmental and biological factors into account, we can create a treatment plan that helps your child succeed in every avenue of life.
It may be time to seek integrative treatment for your child if:
- They’re struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, hyperactivity, impulse control, or other behavioral issues
- Their teachers have flagged emotional or behavioral issues in the classroom
- They have already been diagnosed with ADHD, ODD, or other behavioral conditions and you want an alternative approach to prescription medicine
- Medication isn’t working well for your child
How We Help
Truth be told, most practices use medication as a one-and-done deal, but ZüpMed takes an intentionally different approach to medical care.
Holistic Integrative Approach to Symptom Relief
Diet, exercise, antibiotic use, sleep routines, social activity, and more can cause behavioral problems in children. Dr. Hunt works to find the source of the issues to provide symptom relief at the root.
Personalized Plans for Effective Treatment
Every child is different, and every treatment plan should match those unique needs. Depending on your child’s age, symptoms, and health screen results, we’ll create a personalized treatment strategy just for them.
Genetic Testing for Optimal Medication
At the end of the day, some children do require medicine. However, with the power of genetic testing, we can help determine the right medication for your child without putting them through the typical trial and error approach.
Counselor Referrals for Therapy & Psychiatry
We make no bones about it: we are not therapists or psychiatrists. However, our strong referral network can help you find the right fit for your child and create a home base for treatment.
Your Child’s Treatment Journey at ZüpMed
Dr. Hunt’s thorough health assessments and personalized practice put your child first. Here’s what you can expect from your child’s integrative behavioral health journey.
Step 1: Consultation
Understanding your child’s biological background takes time, and our team cuts no corners. You’ll spend a first extensive visit with Dr. Hunt so you can fully explain your child’s symptoms, treatment history, and environmental factors – and yes, that means you’ll have all the time you need to ask every question in your notes app.
Step 2: Testing
At your consultation, Dr. Hunt will order several tests depending on your feedback. These screenings could include microbiome assessments, nutrient deficiency or food allergy panels, or genetic testing. She may also recommend a therapist or psychiatrist for further support.
Step 3: Treatment Planning
Once Dr. Hunt has assessed your child’s personalized results, you’ll return to our office for your treatment plan. She will offer personalized directives which might include a food elimination diet, prescriptive sleep patterns, or using natural supplements to regulate your child’s internal systems, depending on the data. Part of the plan may include total gut restoration. Or, she could recommend the medication that will work best with your child’s genetic makeup.
Step 4: Follow-Up
A few weeks or months following your child’s treatment planning appointment, you’ll visit Dr. Hunt to reassess improvements that have been made and what adjustments are necessary.
